A 16-year-old Brown Deer boy received a municipal ticket for negligent operation of a motor vehicle on private property after he crashed a car into the side of his neighbor's house in the 8600 block of N. 59th St. at 2:50 p.m. Aug. 18. The boy told police he was trying to move the car to clean the garage but had never driven a car before. The car also hit the corner of his own garage and drove over the neighbor's flower bed as he tried to return it to his driveway.

Credit cards belonging to a Brown Deer couple were stolen and used to charge $1,088 at stores in Glendale and Milwaukee, according to an Aug. 18 police report. The cards were last seen in the couple's home in the 9500 block of Woods Circle.

A car window was broken and an amplifier stolen from a car in a driveway in the 8500 block of N. 58th St. on Aug. 21. The car was also scratched. Property loss and damage were estimated at $830.

A 13-year-old Brown Deer girl received tickets on allegations of violating curfew and possession of tobacco by a minor after she was seen walking in the 5600 block of W. Bradley Road at 1 a.m. Aug. 21. She told police that she was walking home from a baby-sitting job, then said she was walking to her boyfriend's house. Her mother said she thought her daughter was asleep at home.

An 18-year-old Milwaukee woman received a ticket on allegations of theft after she took $275 from her cash register at Pick 'n Save, 9200 N. Green Bay Road. The woman took the money on two occasions, the last being Aug. 23.

The front door was smashed and $140 were stolen from the Salvation Army Thrift Store, 4747 W. Bradley Road, according to an Aug. 24 report.

A 24-year-old Mequon man was arrested on a warrant with the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office after police investigated a complaint about loud noise and racing vehicles in the lot at M&G's, 7651 N. Teutonia Ave., on Aug. 24. The man was in the parking lot.

A 12-year-old Milwaukee boy received a ticket for negligent operation of a motor vehicle on private property after he put his uncle's truck into gear as he sat listening to music inside at 4301 W. Brown Deer Road on Aug. 24. The boy was waiting for his uncle, who was at a doctor's office. The truck hit a parked van and the boy ran inside and hid in a bathroom.

A gate lock was found broken, a wheelchair was moved outside and a screen and window frame were damaged at the vacant Hearthside Rehabilitation Center, 9325 N. Green Bay Road, on Aug. 24. A burglar alarm alerted police.

A 62-year-old Milwaukee woman was taken to St. Michael Hospital for evaluation after police tried to stop her speeding vehicle four times. It was stopped on the fifth try, at 3:40 p.m. Aug. 25. An officer tried to stop her car at four separate locations on Brown Deer Road, beginning in the 5100 block. River Hills officers assisted in the stop on southbound I-43. Police said the woman did not appear to understand what was happening and provided inappropriate answers to questions.

A 20-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested on allegations of stealing clothing worth $211 from T.J. Maxx, 9020 N. Green Bay Road, at 9:15 p.m. Aug. 25. She was arrested at 4:30 p.m. in Glendale on allegations of stealing clothing worth $176 from Boston Store at Bayshore Mall.

A 44-year-old Menomonee Falls man was arrested on allegations of drunken driving and driving after his license was revoked in a parking lot in the 9000 block of N. Green Bay Road at 2:45 a.m. Aug. 27. An officer stopped the man's car because he made an illegal U-turn and was speeding.

Police are investigating three checks totaling $750 that belonged to a Glendale woman and were cashed by a relative at the Tri City National Bank, 4455 W. Bradley Road, according to an Aug. 27 report.

A 35-year-old Milwaukee man will receive a disorderly conduct citation after he threw a carrier tube at a car in the drive-through lane at U.S. Bank, 4200 W. Brown Deer Road, on Aug. 27. He was angry that the bank would not cash his paycheck for its entire amount. The tube dented the other car.

A 56-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested on allegations of drunken driving and having an open intoxicant in his car in the 5500 block of W. Brown Deer Road at 12:33 a.m. Aug. 29. Police stopped his vehicle for speeding.

FOX POINT

A purse, containing a cell phone worth $150 and a checkbook, was reported stolen from EB Games, 8799 N. Port Washington Road, at 4:05 p.m. Aug. 10.

A 45-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested on allegations of drunken driving and operating with a suspended license at N. Lake Drive and E. Bell Road at 10:07 p.m. Aug. 22. The man damaged his car after he tried to avoid a raccoon. He suffered lacerations to the forehead and hands.

A cast iron and oak park bench worth $125 was reported stolen from Doctors Park, 1870 E. Fox Lane, at 2:13 p.m. Aug. 24. The bench was bolted down.

A wallet worth $40 with $60 in cash was stolen from a purse at the Learning Shop, 8665 N. Port Washington Road, between 3 and 4:30 p.m. Aug. 28.

Twelve pieces of jewelry, including a watch and several rings and bracelets worth a total of $20,000 were reported stolen from a home in the 7400 block of N. Seneca Road at 3:58 p.m. Aug. 29. The homeowner was out of town and said the theft occurred between May 23 and Aug. 29.

GLENDALE

A house in the 5500 block of N. Bethmaur Lane was burglarized Aug. 23. Watches, fire safes containing cash and documents and engagement rings were among the items stolen. An estimate of loss was $3,200.

A 35-year-old Milwaukee man received a ticket for disorderly conduct after he refused to leave the bar at Manchester Suites, 7065 N. Port Washington Road, on Aug. 23. He also received a ticket for obstructing an officer after he provided a false name.

Police are investigating the theft of $1,144 from the safe at Baymont Inn, 5110 N. Port Washington Road, on Aug. 23.

A 42-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested on allegations of burglary in the 4800 block of N. Iroquois Ave. on Aug. 23. A neighbor noticed the man outside the house. When police arrived, the man ran into Estabrook Park, where he was stunned with a Taser and taken into custody. When arrested, the man had credit cards in his pocket that were stolen from a Milwaukee house and a Shorewood house, as well as watches taken from the Glendale house.

Shrimp and tenderloin worth $270 were stolen from Sentry Foods, 7601 N. Port Washington Road, on Aug. 23.

Jewelry, computers, a handgun and ammunition and 50 to 60 DVDs were stolen from a house in the 5500 block of N. Argyle Ave. between 6:30 a.m. and 4:10 p.m. Aug. 24.

A 20-year-old Glendale man was arrested on allegations of possession of marijuana, second offense, after police answered a noise complaint in the 2000 block of W. Good Hope Road on Aug. 24. The man was in a parking lot and appeared to be concealing something in his pockets when officers saw him. He had 13 grams of marijuana. He was not involved in the noise complaint.

Cash in the amount of $2,000 was taken from an apartment in the 6100 block of N. Green Bay Road on Aug. 24.

A 1989 gray Cadillac was stolen from a lot in the 2400 block of W. Silver Spring Drive on Aug. 24.

A 44-year-old Milwaukee man received a ticket on allegations of disorderly conduct after he urinated outside Jewel-Osco, 1735 W. Silver Spring Drive, on Aug. 25.

Two necklaces worth $6,800 were stolen from an apartment in the 1600 block of W. Bender Road, according to an Aug. 25 report. The necklaces were last seen two to three months ago.

A 38-year-old Waukesha man was arrested on allegations of stealing a boxed cookware set worth $270 from Kohl's Department Store, 5700 N. Port Washington Road. He was wanted on a parole violation warrant.

A 33-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested on allegations of stealing clothing worth $748 from Gap Kids, Bayshore Mall, 5900 N. Port Washington Road, on Aug. 28. The woman was wanted on a Wauwatosa Police Department warrant for retail theft.

A cellular phone worth $250 was stolen from a purse at the Silver Spring House, 6655 N. Green Bay Ave., on Aug. 29.

Police responded to one domestic incident last week.

MARQUETTE

Liquor violation

A 19-year-old male student was arrested Aug. 29 on allegations of underage drinking, drinking in public, obstruction and disorderly conduct when he was seen carrying a bottle of beer and fled from officers off campus in the 800 block of N. 17th St.

A 20-year-old male student was arrested Aug. 27 on allegations of underage drinking off campus in the 1600 block of W. Wells St.

Rules and regulations

Six students were referred to Student Development. Two 21-year-old men were referred Aug. 26 when they were seen carrying two half-barrels of beer to their room at Campus Town East.

Two 18-year-old men were referred Aug. 26 when alcohol and a fake ID were found in their room at South Hall.

A 20-year-old man was referred Aug. 27 when witnesses reported him informing students outside McCormick Hall of an underage drinking party.

A 19-year-old man was referred Aug. 28 after he was seen urinating outside Mashuda Hall.

NORTHSHORE FIRE DEPARTMENT

Department personnel responded to 126 calls for service between Aug. 23 and 30: 88 medical calls and 38 fire calls.

Dust from a contractor cutting tile in the basement of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 8080 N. 47th St., Brown Deer, set off a smoke alarm Aug. 23.

RIVER HILLS

A 33-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested on allegations of drunken driving, second offense, in the 1800 block of W. Brown Deer Road at 1:50 a.m. Aug. 29. Police stopped his vehicle for weaving out of its lane. His blood-alcohol level was 0.19.

SHOREWOOD

A 1991 Buick LeSabre was stolen from the 3900 block of N. Morris Blvd. between 1 and 6:45 a.m. Aug. 22. The car was partially parked in a garage.

A 20-year-old man stole two bottles of liquor worth $23 from Pick 'n Save, 4145 N. Oakland Ave., at 3 p.m. Aug. 28. The man fled after he gave up the bottles to an employee. He was arrested in the 4300 block of N. Murray Ave.

A 17-year-old boy was robbed in the 4200 block of N. Woodburn St. at 9:45 p.m. Aug. 28. The boy was struck over the head with a pistol and five men took his pants, tennis shoes, cell phone, identification, $50 and keys.

UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-MILWAUKEE

Drugs

An 18-year-old female student was arrested Aug. 30 on allegations of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at Sandburg Hall South Tower.

Liquor violation

Two male students, 19 and 20, were arrested Aug. 29 on allegations of underage drinking when they were seen carrying beer in the 3200 block of N. Maryland Ave.

Two male students, 18 and 19, were arrested Aug. 29 on allegations of underage drinking in the 2400 block of E. Edgewood Ave.

A 19-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man, both students, were arrested Aug. 24 on allegations of underage drinking when the man was seen carrying a case of beer and the woman carrying a plastic soda bottle holding vodka and lemonade.

Theft

A 25-pound ashtray, 31/2 feet tall, also called a cigarette urn and worth $25, was reported stolen Aug. 30 from the Physics Building.

WAUWATOSA

Robbery

A young boy was shoved off his bicycle by a teenage boy at Hoyt Park in the 1800 block of Swan Blvd. at 3:30 p.m. Aug 26. The suspect, accompanied by two friends, approached the boy riding bikes with his brother in the park, told the boy to get off his bike and then rode away with it. The bike was worth $150. The boy was not injured.

A 14-year-old Milwaukee girl was arrested on allegations of armed robbery after she used pepper spray on a security guard at Mayfair Mall. The guard was trying to stop the girl following allegations she stole numerous items worth $760 from Boston Store at 3:25 p.m. Aug. 27. After spraying the guard, the girl fled the mall to a waiting vehicle but was apprehended in the mall lot by police. She was referred to the Children's Court Center.

Burglary

Two bicycles with a total value of $1,200 were stolen from a garage in the 600 block of N. 62nd St. between 8 p.m. Aug. 23 and 8:50 a.m. Aug. 24. Also, loose change was stolen from a vehicle parked inside the garage.

A bicycle worth $500 was stolen from a garage in the 2700 block of N. 74th St. between 8 a.m. Aug. 27 and 11 a.m. Aug. 28. Entry was gained by pushing in a Plexiglas window on the garage door.

Theft

A cell phone worth $200 was stolen from a countertop at Red Lobster, 2801 N. Mayfair Road between 5 and 11:30 p.m. Aug. 20.

Two potted plants worth $115 were stolen from the parking lot of Ivan Systems, 7754 Harwood Ave., between noon Aug. 21 and 2:46 p.m. Aug. 24.

A house key and coins were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 2200 block of N. 116th St. between 9:30 p.m. Aug. 22 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 23.

Stereo equipment worth $350 was stolen from the trunk of a vehicle in the 4600 block of Delco Ave. between 1:30 and 6:30 a.m. Aug 23.

Numerous items worth $195, including CDs, sunglasses and cash, were stolen from a locked vehicle in the 7200 block of W. North Ave. between 6 and 10 a.m. Aug. 23. The tailgate had been popped open to gain entry.

Candy bars, soda and potato chips were stolen by four teenage boys at the Citgo Station, 10745 W. Capitol Drive, at 8:36 p.m. Aug. 23. When they entered the store, the clerk, feeling threatened, retreated into the caged area near the register and watched as they walked out, she told police.

Twenty dollars in cash and coins was stolen from a car in the 500 block of N. 60th St. between 9 p.m. Aug. 23 and 6:30 a.m. Aug. 24. A window was broken to gain entry, causing an estimated $300 damage.

Scrap metal worth $1,000 was stolen from Stickler's Radiator and Automotive, 250 N. 121st St., between 5 p.m. Aug. 24 and 2 p.m. Aug. 25. The locked door of the storage shed was forced open to gain access to the scrap heap.

A large metal reptile cage worth $75 was stolen from the front yard of a home in the 12300 block of Watertown Plank Road at 11:27 p.m. Aug. 24. The homeowner said she heard noises outside and looked out just in time to see a man load the cage into the trunk of a car, then drive off.

Two hubcaps were stolen and a camera taken from inside an unlocked car parked in the 6100 block of W. State St. between 5 a.m. Aug. 25 and 6 p.m. Aug. 26.

A briefcase containing personal and business papers and worth $150 was stolen from an office in the 10900 block of Blue Mound Road between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Aug. 25.

A truck cab worth $400 was stolen from the rear yard of a home in the 1400 block of Lombard Court between 10 p.m. Aug. 25 and 5 p.m. Aug. 26.

Coins, 40 CDs and cash were stolen from a vehicle in the 2400 block of N. 61st St. between 9 p.m. Aug. 26 and 5:30 a.m. Aug. 27. Items were also stolen from other cars rummaged through in the area during the same time frame.

Items worth $230, including a faceplate for an in-dash CD player, the CD player remote control and seven CDs were stolen from a car in the public parking lot at 7734 Harwood Place between 2 and 11 p.m. Aug. 27.

An unlocked vehicle in the 1800 block of Church St. was entered and rummaged through between 6 p.m. Aug. 27 and 10 a.m. Aug. 28. Nothing was stolen.

Cigarettes, eleven CDs and a CD case were stolen from an unlocked car in the 8200 block of Woodland Ave. between 10 p.m. Aug. 27 and 11 a.m. Aug. 28. Several other cars in the area were also broken into or entered during the same time frame.

Two golf carts, worth $6,000 each, were stolen from the Currie Park Golf Course, 3535 N. Mayfair Road between 11 p.m. and 1:05 a.m. Aug. 27.

A large amount of cash was stolen from two vending machines broken into at MLG Management LLC, 2675 N. Mayfair Road, between 8 a.m. Aug. 28 and 2:15 p.m. Aug. 29. Damage to the machines was estimated at $1,000.

Assault

A 15-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested at Carmelite Home for Boys, 1814 Kavanaugh Place, at 9:32 p.m. Aug. 23 after he fought with an employee at the home. He was transferred to the Children's Detention Center for review of a battery charge at the Children's Court Center.

A 32-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested on allegations of battery during a wedding reception at the Muellner Building at Hart Park, 7300 Chestnut St., at 7:13 p.m. Aug. 28 after he punched his sister's boyfriend for trying to prevent him from fighting with the bartender. Reportedly, the bartender had made a comment about the man's sister, which the man found insulting, after his sister caught the wedding bouquet. The sister's boyfriend was transported to the hospital where he received five stitches to his lip.

Drug possession

A Milwaukee woman and Wauwatosa man, both 18, were arrested on allegations of drug possession, lewd and lascivious behavior, carrying a concealed weapon and having open intoxicants in their vehicle in the 2100 block of N. 90th St. at 1:05 a.m. Aug. 24. A police officer pulled up to the car after he saw it rocking back and forth and found the barely clad woman and man inside. In the car, police found .9 grams of marijuana, an open bottle of tequila and a knife.

A 14-year-old Milwaukee girl was arrested on allegations of drug possession and retail theft at Baby Gap at Mayfair Mall at 5 p.m. Aug. 29 on after she was caught stealing clothes. She told police the clothes were for her 1-year-old child. Officers found she had .3 grams of marijuana in her possession.

Drunken driving

A 35-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested on allegations of drunken driving in the 1400 block of N. 116th St. at 8:53 p.m. Aug. 22 after a driver reported the man's erratic driving. He refused to submit to a breath tests or sign any forms. Because of his intoxicated state, he was held for 12 hours at the police station jail and released with a pending court date.

A 20-year-old Sussex man was arrested on allegations of drunken driving in the lot of the Radisson Hotel, 2303 N. Mayfair Road, at 12:52 a.m. Aug. 29. He refused to submit to a breath test.

Vandalism

The window of a vehicle parked in the 2600 block of N. 72nd St. was smashed between 5:30 p.m. Aug. 22 and 9 a.m. Aug. 23. Nothing was stolen.

Four windows at Interstate Fire and Safety, 238 N. 121st St., were broken between 5 p.m. Aug. 23 and 10:43 a.m. Aug. 24 by someone who threw stones through them, causing an estimated $200 damage.

A window was smashed and a steering column peeled on a van parked at Labott's Pharmacy, 10424 Blue Mound Road, between 6:10 p.m. Aug. 25 and 8 a.m. Aug. 26, causing an estimated $1,500 damage.

Other

A 31-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested on allegations of fleeing an officer and resisting arrest after the officer spotted the man on his motorcycle and two other cyclists speeding northbound in excess of 100 mph on Mayfair Road at 7:35 p.m. Aug. 23. The two other cyclists took off between traffic stopped at a red light. The Milwaukee man was apprehended after he crashed his motorcycle in the 13100 block of W. Center St. in Brookfield. He fought with the officer who found him. He was treated at the scene by Brookfield paramedics.

Wauwatosa Police received 15 retail theft reports last week.

Police responded to seven domestic disturbances last week.

WHITEFISH BAY

A religious statue worth $200 was stolen from a backyard in the 5700 block of N. Kent Ave. between 1:30 p.m. Aug. 21 and 1:30 p.m. Aug. 22.

Police believe that a southbound vehicle left N. Lake Drive at Pandl's Whitefish Bay Inn, 1319 E. Henry Clay St., and hit a metal bench, damaged a juniper shrub and a flower bed and moved a basketball-size rock at the parking lot about 30 feet. The damage was discovered at 2:30 a.m. Aug. 25.

A 25-year-old Glendale woman was arrested on allegations of drunken driving at E. Acacia Road and N. Santa Monica Blvd. at 9:35 p.m. Aug. 26. She was cited on allegations of speeding.

A bundle of bills totaling $100 was stolen from a money bag in a safe at the Fox Bay Cinema Grill, 334 E. Silver Spring Drive, between 2:15 and 3 p.m. Aug. 27.
